At least five people were injured after suspected terrorists hurled a grenade outside the deputy commissioner's building in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag on Saturday.

The grenade was hurled at the security forces stationed at the office of the Anantnag DC. However, the terrorists reportedly missed the target with the grenade exploding outside the office, injuring five people. Of the five injured, three have been critically injured in the attack. A search operation is underway.

This is the second attack on security forces in the Kashmir Valley since the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status.On September 28, terrorists had hurled a grenade at CRPF personnel in downtown Srinagar.They had, however, missed the target. The grenade was hurled at CRPF's 38 battalion personnel deployed on law and order duty in Nawa Kadal area.
